THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF TILLSONBURG
A BY-LAW to authorize an agreement with the Province of Ontario.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 8 of the Municipal Act,2001, S.O. 2001, C.25, a municipality
has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of exercising
its authority under this or any other Act, ;
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg has agreed that it will be
allocated $2801815 by the Province of Ontario for the purpose of municipal road and bridge
capital investment needs -
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg agrees to provide a final
summary report detailing expenditures, use of provincial funding, and also outcomes achieved
shall be submitted to the ministry and the ministry may at that time request an independent audit
of the project; and
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg agrees that any funds for the
project that are not used in accordance with rehabilitation of municipal road and bridge capital
investment needs or the terms outlined above will be returned to the ministry.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg enacts as follows:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized and instructed to perform all acts and
take such steps and execute such documents under the seal of the Corporation as may be
necessary to effect such an agreement with the Province of Ontario.
