BY-LAW NUMBER 3515
BEING A BY-LAW to confirm the proceedings of Council
WHEREAS Section 5 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, provides that the powers of a
municipal corporation shall be exercised by its council;
AND WHEREAS Section 5 (3) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, provides that municipal
powers shall be exercised by by-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the Council of the Town of
Tillsonburg at this meeting be confirmed and adopted by by-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
TILLSONBURG ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT all actions and proceedings of the Council taken at its meetings held:
January 10, 2011, January 20, 2011, January 24, 2011, January 27, 2011,
February 3, 2011, February 14, 2011, February 14, 2011, February 24, 2011
March 3, 2011, March 11, 2011, March 14, 2011, March 28, 2011, March 31, 2011
April 11, 2011, April 26, 2011
May 9, 2011, May 24, 2011
June 13, 2011
are hereby sanctioned, ratified and confirmed as though set out herein provided, however,
that any member of this Council who has dissented from any action or proceeding or has
abstained from discussion and voting thereon shall be deemed to have dissented or
abstained, as the case may be, in respect of the By-law as it applies to such action or
proceedings.
2. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to do all the things necessary to give effect
to the actions of the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg referred to in the
preceding section.
3. The Mayor and the Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all documents necessary in
that behalf and to affix thereto the seal of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg.
4. THAT This By-Law shall come into full force and effect on the day of passing.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 13th DAY OF June, 2011.
READ A THIRD AND FINAL TIME AND PASSED THIS 13™ DAY OF June, 2011.
