On motion made by Mayor Molnar, seconded by David Palmer, and carried, the
Agenda was approved. 5 Approval of Previous Minutes
The Minutes of a meeting of the Board held on January 20, 2016 were presented to the Board for approval.

carried the Minutes of the meeting held on April 20, 2016 were approved.

Inspector Hymers presented the April 2016 contract statistics and memorandum which reported members of the OPP attended 533 calls for service with an 89.9% clearance rate. In comparison

Members of the OPP attended 634 calls for service with a 93.4%
clearance rate in 2015. The most serious of these calls were 1 break & enter and 7 random acts of mischief.

Inspector Hymers presented the High School Resource Officer Month End Report for April 2016
Proactive Duties
• Patrolling the interior and exterior Glendale Schools as
well as surrounding neighbourhood & gullies.
Downtown Tillsonburg, Ingersoll & Norwich
• Engaged with staff, parents and students regarding
youth issues
Reactive Duties
• 6 calls for service involving Glendale and Annandale
• Investigated a mischief where intent was unfounded.
Youth spoken to and given School discipline
• Investigated a Trespass to Property Complaint from a
residence that lives across the street from Glendale. The
complainant called several times and other front line
officers responded as well. This resulted in youths being
charged under the Trespass to Property Act. A call to
the town of Tillsonburg Roads Department was made
and message left to speak about getting no parking
signs along Poplar St from 8am until 2:30pm to alleviate
the loitering with youth
• Investigated an assault at Glendale one youth diverted
• Investigated Child Pornography complaint involving
Glendale Students. Investigation concluded with
warnings and was an educational experience for the
youth and their parents. Crime Unit was notified

• Assisted Annandale school with two 10yr olds that left
the school grounds.

Annual Bowling Fundraiser
• NB: Assisted with Chaperoning the Glendale Semi
Formal Dance on personal time.

Chair Larry Scanlan gave the board an
update from the conference
13 Other Business/Public Discussion
Vice Chair Elections Election of Vice-Chair
The Chair asked for nominations for the position of Vice-Chair. Mayor Molnar nominated Mr. Dave Palmer, and Councillor Rosehart seconded the nomination. The Chair asked for further
nominations a second and third time and having received no further nominations, nominations were declared closed.
On motion made by Mayor Molnar,
seconded by Councillor Rosehart and unanimously carried, Mr. Dave Palmer, having agreed to stand, was elected Vice-
Chair of the Tillsonburg Police Services Board. Note: Election for Vice-Chair held due to
Provincial Appointment of John Smith not being extended until after the Board’s May meeting
Auxiliary BBQ On motion made by Mayor Molnar, seconded by Dave Palmer and carried it
was resolved that the Board will support
the Auxiliary BBQ up to $300.00
