CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 3:35 PM by Robert Marsden.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Paul DeCloet, Robert Marsden, Susan Saelens, Marian Smith, Amber Zimmer, Kelly
Batt, Charles Baldwin, , Brian Stephenson, Janet Wilkinson
MEMBERS ABSENT/REGRETS: Sandra Bray, Reg Butcher, Judy Biro, Maurice Verhoeve

ADOPTION OF AGENDA:

MINUTES & BUSINESS ARISING OUT OF THE MINUTES:

• Resolved That the minutes of the meeting of December 5, 2013 be adopted as presented.

1. Review Town tree by-law
o Staff stated that Committee would be contacted if Council is looking for information regarding
trees.
o Committee would like to review Elgin County's tree by-law
2. CN Grant
o Staff working on this tree grant.
o Staff proposed $10,000 for keep Tillsonburg Beautiful Day
Resolved that the Committee supports the CN EcoConnexions gran application.

3. Downtown fagade improvements -postponed until February meeting
o BIA Chair to attend February meeting.
4. Research for designation of Rolph Street School fagade
o Museum will start research in February
o S. Saelens has put together information regarding the school to be used in the designation
5. Tree education on trails
o C. Baldwin will look after the information needed for tree education if grant is approved.
6. Keep Tillsonburg Beautiful sub-committee
o Resolved that the Keep Tillsonburg Beautiful sub-committee be formed'
And further resolved that Councillor Stephenson, Robert Marsden, Paul DeCloet, Charles
Baldwin, Marian Smith, Kelly Batt and Sue Saelens be members of the sub-committee
And further resolved that the subcommittee be dissolved following the keep Tillsonburg
Beautiful 2014 event.

NEW BUSINESS:
1. Change of meeting time.
Resolved that the meeting time be moved to the 1st Wednesday of each month at 9:00am.
