220119 Police Services Board MinutesTillsonburg Police Services Board Minutes Date: January 19, 2022 Time: 8:30 a.m. - Location: Virtual Meeting Present: Larry Scanlan, Inspector Hymers, Mayor Molnar, Greg Horvath, Ann Loker, Becky Turrill Absent with Regrets: Councillor Rosehart Also Present: 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. 2. Elections 2.1 Election of Officers — Board Secretary called for nominations for TPSB Chair L. Scanlan Nominated by: Mayor Molnar Seconded by: A. Loker With no additional nominations, L. Scanlan Elected as Board Chair for 2022 Election of Officers — Board Chair called for nominations for TPSB Vice Chair G. Horvath Nominated by: A. Loker Seconded by: L. Scanlan With no additional nominations received, G. Horvath Elected as Board Vice Chair for 2022 3. Adoption of Agenda Resolution #1 Moved by: Mayor Molnar Seconded by: A. Loker THAT the as Agenda prepared for the Police Services Board meeting of January 19, g 2022, be adopted. Carried 4. Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest and the General Nature Thereof There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest declared. 5. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting Proposed Resolution #2 Moved -by: L. Scanlan Tillsonburg Police Services Board Date: January 19, 2022 Page -2-of3 Seconded by: G. Horvath THAT the Police Services Board Meeting Minutes of November 17 & December 15, 2022 be approved. Carried 6. Presentations/Deputations 6.1. Inspector Hymers presented November & December reports to the board. 7. General Business & Reports 7.1. Parks and Facilities Manager Dave Drobitch joined the meeting. He was introduced to board members and gave details of his background. 7.2. Traffic By -Law update received Resolution #3 Moved by: L. Scanlan Seconded by: G. Horvath THAT the Board has reviewed and supports By -Law OPD21-57 as amended 7.3. Library Lane Issue — Review and discussion on the situation as well as steps taken to reduce future issues 7.3.1. M HART has been used 7.4. Outdoor Ice Rink — Discussion on both OPP response as well as Citizen Safety Concerns. 7.5. Graffiti through out the Town of Tillsonburg 7.5.1. If you see it please report it, OPP are collecting the information on location. 7.6. CamSafe program - Discussion surrounding both Bellville & Quinte West OPP and St Thomas PD. Inspector Hymers bring information to the board from OPP Headquarters. 7.6.1. Bellville & Quinte West OPP 7.6.2. St Thomas Police Department 7.7. Body Cams — currently being used by some officers in Oxford. No complaints have been received so far. 8. Correspondence 9. Other Business 10.
