THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF TILLSONBURG
A BY-LAW to provide for the acquisition of:
Lot 1641, Plan #500, Town of Tillsonburg, County of Oxford,
being all of PIN 00036-0012.
and Part Lot 10, Concession 4, North of Talbot Road,
formerly in the Geographic Township of Middleton, now Norfolk
County, being all of PIN 50146-0080,
both parcels combined, being approximately 54 acres.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section #9 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, C. 253
a municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the
purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other Act;
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg requires
the conveyance of certain lands for general municipal purposes;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg acquire from the Estate of Betty
Ann Marlon VODDEN, all and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises situate, lying and being:
Lot 1641, Plan #500, Town of. Tillsonburg, County of Oxford,
being all of PIN 00036-0012.
and Part Lot 10, Concession 4, North of Talbot Road,
formerly in the Geographic Township of Middleton, now Norfolk County,
being all of PIN 50146-0080,
both parcels combined, being approximately 54 acres,
for a purchase price of THREE HUNDRED & SEVENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND
($378,000.00) DOLLARS.
2. That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authori'zed and instructed to perform all acts
and to take such steps and execute such documents under the seal of the
Corporation as may be necessary to effect such acquisition.
3. This By -Law shall come into force and take effect immediately after the final
passing hereof.
