A BY-LAW to adopt the Town ofTillsonburg PurchasingPolicy.
WHEREAS Section 270(1) of the Municipal Act, 200l_states that a municipality shall adopt and
maintain policies with respect to its procurement of goods and services and such policies will be
adopted to ensure that it is accountable to the public for its actions, and shall be the manner in which
the municipality will try to ensure that its actions are transparent to the public.
AND WHEREAS The Council of the Corporation of the Town ofTillsonburg deems it expedient
and necessary to repeal By-Law 3765 Purchasing Policy, enacted November II, 2013;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town ofTillsonburg is desirous of adopting
the Tillsonburg Purchasing Policy.
THEREFORE the Council of the Town ofTillsonburg enacts as follows:
I. THAT the Town ofTillsonburg Purchasing Policy attached hereto as "Schedule A" is
hereby adopted and forms part of this by-law.
2. AND THAT By-Law 3765, Purchasing Policy, be and is hereby repealed in its entirety.
3. AND THAT this by-law comes into full force and effect on the day of passing.
