General Business and Reports
Committee Orientation
Quarterly Meeting Schedule
The Committee agreed to move from twelve meetings per year to quarterly. The meeting schedule for 2015 is as follows: June 3, September 2 and December 2.
Audible Traffic Signals for the visually impaired
Councillor Stephenson discussed the need for audible traffic signals on Broadway Street. Staff was asked to follow up with the Director of Operations to see the cost involved with upgrading
certain high volume road crossing in the Downtown, including how other municipalities fund these upgrades.
Curb Cuts
The Committee was asked to send all curb cut requests to the Deputy Clerk or the Director of Operations for the Town.
AODA 2015 Legislative Requirements
The Deputy Clerk reviewed the 2015 AODA Legislative Requirements with the Committee. He informed the Committee that the Town has invested in new accessible customer services training
that is mandatory for all new and existing employees.

Other Business
Transportation Committee
Councillor Stephenson provided the Committee with a brief update on the Transportation Steering Committee. Councillor Stephenson noted that the pilot transportation program will provide
a greater level of accessibility to those in the community.
Next meeting
The next meeting of the Accessibility Advisory Committee will be June 3, 2015.
