BY-LAW NUMBER 3463
A BY-LAW to provide for the sale of certain lands being Coon Alley, Plan 500, abutting
Lots 851 & 852, being PIN 00031 0125, in the Town of Tillsonburg, County of Oxford.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 8 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, C. 25, a
municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the
purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 34 of The Municipal Act, 2001 S.O. 2001, C 25, The
Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg is declaring surplus a road allowance being Part of
Coon Alley, Plan 500, south of Venison St. W., abutting Lots 851 & 852, in the Town of
Tillsonburg, County of Oxford and declaring that those lands should be sold.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
That The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg sell the lands described as Coon Alley,
Plan 500, abutting Lots 851 & 852, in the Town of Tillsonburg, County of Oxford to E & E
McLaughlin Ltd., being the abutting land owner, or their designate, for the sale price of
Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) plus the cost of preparation and deposit of the
Reference Plan and all legal costs associated with this transaction, including the
preparation and deposit of the deed herein.
That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to perform all acts and to
take such steps and Execute such documents under the seal of the Corporation as may be
necessary to affect such a conveyance.
This By -Law shall come into force and take effect immediately after the final passing
hereof.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 8t" day of November, 2010.
READ A THIRD AND FINAL TIME AND PASSED THIS 22nd day of November, 2010.
