RE: RECONSTRUCTION OF TILLSON AVE
Our firm has been retained as Consulting Engineers for the
above project by the County of Oxford.
The County has assumed the role of the "Owner", and in that
capacity, will be financing the project until completion. When the final
costs are known, the County will invoice the Town of Tillsonburg for their
share of the cost.
The County is therefore requesting that the Town of Tillsonburg
confirm by letter that they agree to allowing the County to finance the
project and that they will pay their share of the cost when invoiced by
the County.

In respect to the above reconstruction project, we under-
stand from the Engineer, c. J. Demeyere, P. Eng., that the
County has assumed the role as "owners" and will be
invoicing the Town for its share of the related costs on
completion of the works.
In order that we can arrange the necessary approvals of
capital funding of the Town's portion and/or any part
carried out as a local improvement, the Town would request
that preliminary cost estimates indicating the proposed cost
sharing of the works and the staging thereof, be forwarded
for preparation of necessary approvals.
With respect to the proposed road width, the Council and a
number of citizens are concerned with loss of trees which
may occur with the proposed 46' width. The Council there-
fore request the County to consider a width of 36' with
certain channelization at intersections.
After your review of this request, the Council would be
prepared to meet with your Committee and the Engineer to
discuss this matter further.
Yours truly,
Kenneth E. Holland
