MINUTES of the meeting of the Experience Tillsonburg Committee
held February 6, 1992 at 9:30 A.M. in Council Chambers.
PRESENT: J. Mccurdy, J. Whitmore, G. Chamberlain, F. Brown,
J. Armstrong, B. Moody, M. Sullivan, E. Heath,
B. McKay, W. Kleer
1992 Experience Tillsonburg
1. Date: August 19th -29th
2. Carryover: $257.34
3. Possible Events:
The closing of Broadway was discussed. The general
feeling was not favorable.
Sidewalk Sales will be from August 17th-22nd with
concentration on August 21st and 22nd.
The complex will organize a mini-triathalon for Sunday,
August 23rd.
The Lion's will probably hold another Soap Box Derby,
also on August 23rd.
The Lion's are trying to bring in Stompin Tom again --
possibly August 29th or August 22nd.
The complex will try to organize some events for families
and children.
Battle of the Bands -B. McKay will organize.
Card Show -J. Armstrong will speak to Wayne Cole.
Hot Dog BBQ for charity --this was very successful last
year and should be done again.
Food Day -A suggestion was made that the media organize
a food promotion between the merchants and restaurants .

It was suggested that letters be sent to the following,
inviting them to the next meeting so we could discuss
how their locations could be involved:
