MINUTES
MINUTES of the meeting of the Experience Tillsonburg Committee
held Friday, May 8th, 1992 at 9:30 A.M. in the Committee Room.
PRESENT: G. Found, F. Brown, B. Arts, B. Carroll, w. Kleer,
J. Whitmore, L. Albright, M. Sullivan, A. Horvath
i; Food Fair
There has been a negative to no response from
the restaurants outside the core area due to
lack of staff and time to handle it. Will
follow-up again with P. King.
2. Broadway Closing
Tentative plans have been made to close Broadway
between Washington Grand and Brock St. on
August 21st and 22nd. The B.I.A. will make a
decision on May 14th, and then Council approval
will be necessary. Estimated cost: $350.00
3. Canada 125
It was suggested that Experience Tillsonburg be
registered as a Canada 125 event.

-Kid Rides -Mr. Pudds to be contacted
-Art Show -a list of artists to be compiled
· -should be in a vacant store
-Face Painting -names to be found
-Dixieland Jazz Band to be contacted

7. Theme
The committee discussed that the theme in 1992 and
for years after should be "Come Home to Tillsonburg"
on the homecoming idea.
Events would be packed into one weekend. The
Experience Tillsonburg Committee will now be known
as the "Homecoming Committee".
Peter Northgraves is to be invited to the next meeting.
