MINUTES
MINUTES of the meeting held July 10th, 1992 at 9:30 A.M. in
Council Chambers
PRESENT: L. Palmer, M. Sullivan, J. Armstrong, W. Kleer,
P. Northgraves, F. Brown, P. Carroll, W. Vansevenant,
B. Arts, B. Carroll, G. Chamberlain
1. Presentation -L. Palmer
The Bill Sherry and the Good Neighbour Stage Band
is available for Experience Tillsonburg. The cost
is $1,500 -dance, $1,100 for a concert. Tentatively
seheduled for August 23rd, 1:30-4:30 in the Kinsmen
Festival Tent. The John Law Trust to be approached
for funding. The band and cost to be confirmed with
B. Sherry.
2. Kinsmen Participation
P. Carroll updated the Committee and presented a
layout. Setup to begin 8:00 a.m. Friday. B. Carroll
suggested that the St. Thomas Militia regiment be
contacted for security. Media to contact P. Carroll
for a news release. The band for the Saturday night
dance is the "Dirty Sneaker Band" from 9-1 a.m., $3.00
admission.
3. A general update and press release to be sent out
after today's meeting.

4. Events
a) Battle of Bands -Saturday August 29 at the
Grandstand, admission
b) Flossie the Clown -has a moonwalker ride, sells
floss, needs hydro, no charge. Friday 5:30-7:30
Saturday 10-4, to be confirmed.
c) Kentucky Fried Chicken Van -gives out games for
kids, no charge, food not to be offered, to be
confirmed, a schedule of events to be given to
them.

d) McDonald's Summer Fun Van -to be confirmed.
e) Belgian Waffles -B. Arts to reconfirm for Fri.
& Sat., needs power, charge him $50.00
f) Mert McClintock -J. Armstrong to contact re:
carousel and stage coach rides
g) Shriner's -firetruck and car tickets are
confirmed.
h) Classic Car Show -.Cars to be set up in clusters
on Broadway. Each car needs 20' X 10' approx.
Wayne will provide number of participants for
each day at next meeting.
i) Art Show -25-30 artists, August 21/22, in Heidi's
Plus (tentatively)
An alternate location such as Bargain Harold's to
be arranged.
j) Clown's -confirmed
k) Dunk Tank -Rotary has not yet confirmed
1) Carmel Corn -J. Armstrong to reconfirm
m) Honkytonk -B. MacKay to contact J. Matthews
to see if available.
n) Tug O' War -confirmed between Fire Dept. and
Police Dept. on grassed area at Mall, 2:00 P.M.
Saturday, August 22. Police and Fire Dept.'s
to ask other department's if wish to enter teams
for preliminary bouts .
