and provincial recommendations for reopening, screening, limiting numbers,
physical distancing in programs, masks worn in the building other than where
exempted. Building is locked and there is a marshal at the door for those who
are registered.
Guide was moved to online only version, the feedback has been positive and it
allows for flexibility in changing programming if necessary.
Program spaces are disinfected between each use, as was the water park
during summer.
The scheduling of water park spots has been successful.
Some youth programs were opened in August with limited numbers of 10 per
class, the average attendance was 4 per program. All programs were outside.
Aquafit at water park was very well utilized, there were some initial issues with
booking software.
Indoor pool opened on September 8, swim programs are reduced in numbers of
spots available, aqua fitness programs have also started.
HC opened in the summer with capacity of 5 people at a time, booked slots only.
As of Labour Day, memberships can be reinstated if patrons wish, but not
mandatory as some facilities such as sauna and change rooms aren’t available.
The hours have been extended for the fall.
Fitness programs are offered outside weather permitted or inside if necessary.
Arena is on limited schedule for September, the second ice rink will be in for
October and the full ice schedule will start then. Dressing rooms are being
offered with all precautions observed. Social distancing rules are being
observed.
Sanitizing of all areas is done between programs and rentals.
HC spots are bookable over phone.
The east entrance – sliding doors are opened for Health club, arena and
programs, pool users enter through the West pool door and everyone is being
screened. School board cancelled all use of their properties until January. Safety
precautions are reviewed with public health prior to starting. Marshaling inside
the building, particularly for ice users is right now a responsibility of the users to
follow the social distancing measures.
