Minutes from the meeting of September 4, 2014

1. Meeting Called to Order by H. Lamos-Parker at 3:33 pm
2. Approval of Agenda
Helen requested that the agenda include TOPS and Opportunities for the Disabled (OFTD).

Resolve that the agenda for the meeting of October 1,2014 be adopted.

3. Approval of Minutes from meeting of September 3, 2014.

4. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest none were disclosed.
5. 2014 Municipal Election
Jeff shared with the committee the 2014 Municipal Election Accessibility Plan. In
addition to discussing the various accessibility options available to vote, the committee
was also shown vote assisting technology that will be used during the election.
6. 2015 Accessibility Projects
Members of the committee were asked to think about projects they would like to see
for 2015. Jeff suggested picking 3 or 4 bigger projects that the committee could work
towards.
7. Reports on increasing community awareness of the AAC
The committee will be advertised in a variety of ways over the next three months.
Additional advertisements will come after the election when committees open for new
members.
8. Suggestions from a concerned citizen – doors to covered parking lot at mall should open outward
to the outside in case of fire
Jeff will get in touch with the mall administration and speak to them about the issue.
9. TOPS
Helen and Jeff will be speak to TOPS on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
10. Opportunities for the Disabled
Helen brought in a flyer for the organization that she was given at her home.
