Correspondence from the LPRCA, as received by Council, at the meeting of

Mr. Oliver, General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer, LPRCA, presented the Authority's
2002 Budget.
In answer to a question to Mr. Oliver, he advised that the Long Point Region Conservation
Authority is still in the business of reviewing slope stability issues. This service is
provided to municipalities.
Mr. Floyd Sanderson and Mr. Sam Lamb were also present on behalf of the Long Point
Region Conservation Authority.

Town of Tillsonburg support the Long Point Region Conservation Authority's
Draft 2002 Budget, as presented.

"We would like to update the town on the 2002 World Scale championships that

are taking place here next year. Myself and Gerry Shaw will be attending."
• Mr. Chuck Smith appeared before Council to up -date Council with respect to the 2002
World Scale Championships scheduled for July 12th to 21 st, 2002.
• A list of sponsors to date was provided.
• The 3 charities to which all of the profits from this event will be donated are:
- Woodstock Women's Emergency Centre
- a Youth Program in Tillsonburg to be established
- a Tillsonburg Foundation

Street sidewalk restoration at a cost of $30,000 to be funded from reserves.

Seconded by Councillor Smith AND RESOLVED THAT the Staff Report dated
January 23, 2002 regarding the temporary zone change for the Tillsonburg
Municipal Airport be received;

AND THAT Council authorizes Chuck Smith, MARC, District Representative to
as agent on behalf of the Town to make application for a temporary zone change
for the Tillsonburg Municipal Airport currently zoned Municipal Airport (MA) to
allow overnight camping for the period from July 10 - 21, 2002 subject to the
following conditions:
1. that the Agent shall be responsible for all applicable costs associated with
the temporary zone change; and
2. that the Agent provide proof of liability insurance coverage of not less
than $2,000,000 for the period of the event, naming the Town as an additional
insured;
AND THAT Council of the Town of Tillsonburg hereby requests Council of the
Township of Southwest Oxford to waive the fees associated with the temporary
zone change application due to the economic benefits that will be enjoyed as a
result of the 2002 Scale Model Aircraft World Championships being held in their
Township.
