Moved by Councillor Renaud
Seconded by Councillor Patenaude AND RESOLVED THAT the material regarding solid
waste collection, as attached to the Council Agenda dated October 10, 2006, be received;
AND FURTHER THAT staff be directed to work with the County of Oxford to prepare
tender documents for the collection of solid waste and recycling products in the Town of
Tillsonburg;
AND FURTHER THAT the CAO be directed to return to Council information supporting
the Town of Tillsonburg's position regarding the responsibility level of waste management
services with respect to The Ontario Municipal Act.

DIRECTION: At the request of Deputy Mayor Smith, Council directed staff to include in
the report financial information regarding the impact of bag tags on the community.

change the name of Quartertownline Road to Quarterline Road.

residing on the subject street be provided with notice and comment sheets/cards to indicate what address
they are currently going by.

Councillor Stephenson withdrew his Notice of Motion, as attached, regarding a pesticide
by-law.

Councillor Patenaude introduced a Notice of Motion regarding the City of Toronto's
garbage.
Council voted in favour of considering Notice of Motion this date, and as a result the
following resolution was passed.

Tillsonburg formally expresses their displeasure to Toronto City Council with their recent
decision; and
"^1 THAT the Town of Tillsonburg request the City of Toronto to deal with their garbage within

their own borders; and
THAT the Town of Tillsonburg request the Province of Ontario to intervene in this issue
and prevent this sale from going forward and the ongoing transport of Toronto's garbage
outside of its geographical area;

Southwestern Ontario municipalities, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, the
Premier and appropriate Ontario Ministers and the local MPP.
