Loretta Howey presented pictures of the pond behind their house and requested that the
pond be dug deeper to carry the flow of water that is currently flowing towards their
homes.
The water level was three feet lower previously, she gave pictures to demonstrate how
shallow it currently is and the depth it used to be.
Questioned a news paper article in which water was pumped out of the front yard or a
residence on North St by the fire depprtment and they have not had the same service.
Staff to look into the matter.
The delegates were at council previously (last year) and was told there would be a
meeting to discuss the issue with the neighbours.
Would like this done by the end of June or will have to apply for a municipal drain.
D Morris has a summary of whats transpired in the last month which involved both
engineering and Building department, they both indicated that the silt needs to be
removed, this would require permission from the owner of the property as well as some
ditching work.
The Howey's have concurred with Mr. Allisons suggestion to redirect the drainage off the
roof to the front of the house.
M oved by: Councillor Lewis
Seconded by: Councillor Lamb AND RESOLVED THAT within one weeks time
correspondence will be sent from the corporation indicating the extent of the work that
Pa'`, needs to be done to resolve the drainage issues near North Street East.
