5. General Business and Reports
5.1. Columbarium 2023 – another rectangular, 96 niche columbarium has been
ordered and should be coming early spring of 2024, to be placed in the Catholic
section. Additionally, a 12 person niche was purchased to supplement, as the
previous columbarium had smaller niches which doesn’t fit all the urns. The
smaller columbarium will be placed near the office. Idea for consideration is to
convert the old office into a walk-in
5.2. Playgrounds update – two of three playgrounds have been installed: Elliot
Fairbairn and ,,, the library had a small issue which has delayed the finalizing, it
should be ready next week or so. The supervisor of parks is working on installing
some AODA pathways to all play parks in near future. Also considering a play
excavator for the library playground.
5.3. Parks by-law update – it is currently a long document which will be condensed
for final version. By-law is currently reviewing the language in the document. The
final draft version will be shared with the committee at the next meeting.
Scooters – definition and different types
Outdoor rink – look at hours for hockey vs all other users – double check
Surveillance – is there enough to assist with enforcement
Swimming vs swimming impaired

Put an exception for walking through after closing – using as throughway
