The meeting was called to order at 4:35 pm.

6.1 Naming of Northcrest Parks - RCP-24-007

Committee move into the Commemorative Naming Committee.

A. THAT report titled RCP 24-007 Naming of Northcrest Parks be
received as information; and
B. THAT the Naming Committee evaluates the nominations and
confirms which applications will be put forward for the public
consultation process.
C. THAT the Naming Committee puts forth the applications for Doug
Wilson, Perry Gosso, and the Weston Family for the public
consultation process.
D. THAT the application for Edward "Alfred" Jack Rouse be tabled for
another future naming process.
E. AND THAT staff will provide the marked rubrics to Council at their
meeting for their consideration.

7. General Business & Reports
7.1 Recreation and Sports Advisory committee recommendation - RCP-
24-008

A. THAT report titled RCP 24-008 Recreation & Sports Advisory
committee recommendation be received as information; and
B. THAT feedback and any recommendations from the Museum,
Culture, Heritage and Special Awards Committee recommend to
Council that the Annandale National Historic Site maintain their

own Facebook page and that the Committee supports the creation
of a Parks and Recreation page.
C. AND THAT staff at the Annandale National Historic Site remain
active and involved in the creation of content for their own page.

7.2 Patty Phelps, Culture & Heritage Manager/Curator RE: Museum
Updates
Patty Phelps provided an update on the winter activities for the museum.
7.3 Tabitha Verbuyst, Executive Director/Curator RE: Station Arts Centre
Updates
Tabitha Verbuyst was absent but has provided a written update regarding
the Station Arts Centre:
1. Gallery is back open regular hours Monday - Saturday 9-4pm
2. We have a small Quilting exhibit in the Patenaude Family Gallery
until February.
3. Brad Boug will be exhibiting with us in February.
4. Our programs will be launched this week and range from painting,
pottery to artist discussions.
5. March Break programs will launch next week with registrations
opening on Thursday the 25th
6. We started monthly Trivia nights and also will be hosting a slew of
new types of events this upcoming year.
7.4 Citizen of the Year

A. THAT staff advertise Citizen of the Year and keep nominations open
until the end of March.
B. AND THAT the Museum, Culture, Heritage and Special Awards
Advisory Committee review the nominations at their April meeting.

7.5 Subcommittee Selection for 200th Year of George Tillson's Arrival
The Committee discussed having the event on Family Day in 2025 and
calling the event "Founders Day".
Ideas for the day included:
A porridge breakfast
Family Day skates
Have a museum road show celebrating the history of Tillsonburg
prior to the event

A. THAT the Museum, Culture, Heritage and Special Awards Advisory
Committee not create a subcommittee but rather organize the event as a
committee
B THAT "Founders Day" is listed as an item on all future agendas until
