Upcoming Projects The floors in the front hall of the Museum and the Grand Staircase bannister need to be re-sanded and varnished. Additionally, the carpets throughout the museum need to be deep cleaned. This will occur likely in the fall of 2024. Karen Patenaude (Facilities Supervisor) is working on getting quotes to determine cost. The money for this project will be coming out of the Annandale House Trust that you, as the Museum, Culture, Heritage and Special Awards Advisory Committee are caretakers of. We hope to bring this committee the quotes for this project at the June meeting. In order to replenish the money that is being taken from the Annandale House Trust and used for this refurbishment, Museum Staff would like to host a “Jazz and Cocktail” night on the Museum Lawn with a Silent Auction. The tentative date for this event is Friday, September 20th from 7pm to 9pm. Staff are asking members of the MCHSAA to help in this project by working on the fundraising team and securing Silent Auction Items. If you would like, Kathleen Watkin, is currently heading up this task force and will gladly come and speak about this project at the June Meeting. Page 12 of 12
