231207 Traffic Advisory Committee Minutes 1 The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting MINUTES Thursday, December 7, 2023 9:00 AM Boardroom CSC 10 Lisgar Ave. ATTENDANCE: Bob Parsons Pete Luciani Deb Gilvesy Larry Scanlan Sgt. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. 2. Adoption of Agenda Resolution # 1 Moved By: Bob Parsons Seconded By: Deb Gilvesy THAT the agenda as prepared for the December 7th Traffic Advisory Committee be approved. Carried 2 3. Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest and the General Nature Thereof There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest. 4. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting Resolution # 2 Moved By: Larry Scanlan Seconded By: Bob Parsons THAT the minutes of the September 28th, 2023 Traffic Advisory Committee meeting be approved. Carried 5. Presentations 6. Information Items 6.1 Correspondence from Ed Yearwood Re: Intersection of Devon Court and Devonshire Jonathon Graham, Director of Operations and Development presented on the issue. It was suggested that staff would start with some improvements to the intersection, including hidden intersection signs. Staff will respond inidcating that they are looking into improvements. 6.2 Kelly Mathis Re: Broadway and Concession Jonathon Graham, Director Operations and Development, provided information on the Traffic Signals. The solution would depend on whether or not the intersection is under the care and control of the Town or the Ministry of Transportation. This intersection has a unique configuration which would increase the cost. Staff will bring a quote back to the committee and send a letter to Ms. Mathis indicating that this matter is being looked into. The committee also discussed the advanced green light at Bridge and Broadway. Staff will follow-up and bring the response back to the committee. The Traffic Master Plan will look at different areas where advance greens are required. 3 7. General Business & Reports 7.1 Notice of Motion - Councillor Luciani - Historical Collision Data The resolution was withdrawn at the request of the Mover. 7.2 Update on Resolution 3 from September 28th meeting Jonathon will look into getting an update on the speed signs on Wilson having updated technology and report back to the committee. 8.
