BY-LAW 2024 - xxx
A BY-LAW to repeal and replace the appointment of a
Treasurer for the Town of Tillsonburg (Renato Pullia).
WHEREAS The Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 (hereinafter the "Municipal Act, 2001") allows for the appointment of officers of the Municipality;
AND WHEREAS Section 286 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001 provides that a municipality shall appoint a treasurer who is responsible for handling all of the financial affairs of the municipality
on behalf of and in the manner directed by the Council of the municipality;
AND WHEREAS The Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg deems it is necessary and expedient to appoint a Treasurer for The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg as follows:
THAT By-Law 2023-078 be repealed (A By-Law to appoint an Interim Treasurer (Renato Pullia);
THAT Renato Pullia is hereby appointed as Treasurer for The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg;
THAT this By-law be passed pursuant to the Municipal Act, 2001 S.O. 2001, C. 25.;
THAT this By-Law shall come into full force and effect on the day of passing.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 7th day of OCTOBER, 2024.
