2935 To amend By-Law 1710 to authorize participation in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS)CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF TILLSONBURG
BY-LAW NO. 2935
BEING A BY-LAW TO AJ%1END BY-LAW NO. 1710 TO AUTHORIZE
PARTICIPATION IN THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES
RETIREMENT SYSTEM COMERS).
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg deems it expedient to amend By-law
No. 1710 with respect to the amalgamation of the Tillsonburg Public Utilities Commission
with the Town of Tillsonburg in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System
COMERS).
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF TILLSONBURG ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I. THAT the Town of Tillsonburg hereby agrees to accept the employees of the
Tillsonburg Public Utilities Commission into their OVERS Group and elects to
participate as a single employer under the OMERS Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter 0.29
and Regulation 890 as amended thereunder.
