BY-LAW NUMBER 2941
A BY-LAW to appoint a Deputy Chief Building Official.
WHEREAS the Act to Revise the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1992, Chpt. C.23, Section
3(2), and amendments thereto, provides that every Municipality shall appoint a Chief
Building Official and such inspectors as are necessary for the enforcement of the Act.
AND WHEREAS Section 207(45) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chpt. M.45, and
amendments thereto, provides that Councils of all municipalities may appoint such
officers and employees as may be necessary for the purposes of the Corporation.
AND WHEREAS Council deems it desirable to have an alternative person performing
the duties of the Chief Building Official and Property Standards By-law Enforcement
Officer.
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
TILLSONBURG ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT R.A. (Bob) Sholthauk is hereby appointed Deputy Chief Building
Official, pursuant to Section 3(2) of the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1992, Chpt.
C.23, and amendments thereto; and Property Standards By-law Enforcement
Officer for the purpose of administering the Town of Tillsonburg's Property
Standards By-law as amended from time to time.
2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into force and effect upon final passing.

AND NUMBERED 2941 THIS 24TH DAY OF JULY, 2000.
