BY-LAW NO.3057
A BY-LAW to amend By -Law 2997, being a by-law to regulate traffic and the
parking of motor vehicles in the Town of Tillsonburg.
WHERAS it is deemed necessary and expedient to amend By -Law 2997.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Tillsonburg as follows:
1. THAT Section 8(2)(c) of By -Law 2997 — No Stopping - be amended by removing
"no stopping within 23 metres of Harvey Street on North side and South side of
Brock St. East." and replacing it with "locations described in Schedule 1, as follows:

2. THAT Sections 11(1)(fl and (g) of By -Law 2997 — No Parking in Posting Location — be
added as follows:
11(1)(fl within those areas around 45 Hardy Ave. that are posted "No Parking —
Emergency Vehicles Only"
11(1)(g) within the Municipal Lots of the Town of Tillsonburg.
3. THAT Section 37 of By -Law 2997 — No Long Vehicle Parking - be re -numbered as Section
37(1).
4. THAT Section 37(2) be added to By -Law 2997 — No Long Vehicle Parking - as follows:
37(2) Not withstanding the provisions of subsection 1, over length Vehicles maybe
parking in Municipal Lot 8A as described in Figure 7 (attached).
5. THAT "vehicle of a disabled person" under Definitions of By -Law 2997 be amended to read
as follows:
"vehicle of a disabled person" means any vehicle displaying an identifying marker in
accordance with Section 46 of this by-law.
6. THAT Schedule 1 of By -Law 2997 — No Stopping — be amended as follows:

7. THAT Schedule 2 of By -Law 2997 — Prohibited Parking — be amended as follows:

8. THAT Section 30(2) of By -Law 2997 —School Bus Loading Zones, be amended to read as
follows:
30(2) No person shall park a school bus or a school vehicle or any part of a school
bus or a school vehicle except entirely in a School Bus Zone that has been
established under subsection 30(1) of this by-law.
9. THAT Section 38(2) of By -Law 2997 —Official Sign — be amended to read as follows:
38(2) All fire route signs legally in place on the 26t"February 2002 in the Town of
Tillsonburg shall be deemed to be official signs pursuant to this by-law.
10. THAT Schedule 21(Q) of By -Law 2997 —Out of Court Penalties — be amended to read as
follows:
21(Q) Unauthorized parking in Disabled Parking Space (Fee warning to be posted
on signs).. Set Fine from $100.00 to $300.00.
11. THAT Schedule 17 of By -Law 2997 — Higher Speed Limits — be amended, with the addition
of the following:

12. THAT these amendments to By -Law 2997 are hereby declared to be part of that By -Law as if

13. THAT this By -Law be passed pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act, and shall become
effective upon enactment.
