BY-LAW NO.3097
A By-law to authorize the stopping up and closing and conveyance of part of
unopened Pine Alley, Plan 500.
WHEREAS Mr. Ted Van Den Brock has petitioned Council to close and convey a
portion of Pine Alley, Plan 500 behind 51 Ontario Street more particularly shown as Part
2 on Reference Plan 41 R- 7220.
AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 34 of the Municipal Act S.O. 2001, a municipality
may close a highway after giving Public Notice of its intention to pass such a By -Law.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg has passed By -Law No. 3041
which regulates the requirements for giving Public Notice for the Town of Tillsonburg.
AND WHEREAS NOTICE of the proposed closing and conveyance as detailed herein
will be given prior to Final Enactment as required by By -Law No. 3041.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Tillsonburg as follows:
1. THAT part of Pine Alley, Plan 500 being Part 2 on Reference Plan 41 R-7220 and be
stopped up and closed and conveyed to Mr. Ted Van Den Brock, owner of adjacent
lands, subject to such terms and conditions as Council shall determine.
2. THAT by-law 3059 is hereby repealed.
3. THIS By -Law shall come into full force and effect upon third and final reading.
