A BY-LAW to authorize the use of optical scanning vote tabulators at Municipal Elections.
WHEREAS Section 42 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 provides that the council of a
municipality b by-law, authorize the use of optical scanning vote tabulators for the
p y ma y, y y
purpose of counting votes at municipal elections;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg considers it
desirable to pass such a by-law;
THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg enacts as follows:
THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg hereby authorizes the use of
optical scanning vote tabulators for the purpose of counting votes at municipal elections.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 21" DAY OF August, 2006.
READ A THIRD AND FINAL TIME AND PASSED THIS 21' t DAY OF August, 2006.
