A BY-LAW to authorize the sale of land to Canadian Sweet Potato Ethanol Alliance Inc.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 8 of the Municipal Act , 2 0 01 , S.O. 2001, C . 2 5 , a
municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural
person for the purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other
Act,,;
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg has agreed to sell certain lands of
approximately 140 acres, being Part Lot 1612, Plan 500, more particularly described as Part 1 on
reference plan 41 R-6116 save and except for Part 1, 41 R-7399 and Part of Lot 7, Plan 500 as described
in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale dated September 29, 2005;
THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg enacts as follows:
1. THAT the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg does hereby authorize the conveyance of
lands of approximately 140 acres as described as Part Lot 1612, Plan 500, more
particularly described as Part 1 on reference plan 41 R-6116 save and except for Part 1,
41 R-7399 and Part of Lot 7, Plan 500 as described in the Agreement of Purchase and
Sale dated September 29, 2005;
2. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the Corporation
of the Town of Tillsonburg, all documents required to implement the conveyance of
lands.
