A BY-LAW to amend Bylaw 3489, to appoint members to the Tillsonburg Non-Profit
Housing Board
AND WHEREAS Council previously appointed five (5) non-resident members to the Non-
Profit Housing Board in By-Law 3489 for the current committee term, where the by-laws
which govern this board allow for the appointment of nine (9) non-resident members.
WHEREAS it is necessary and expedient to appoint more members to be
responsible for the functions of the Tillsonburg Non-Profit Housing Board.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of The Corporation of the
Town of Tillsonburg enacts as follows:
1. THAT Schedule A to Bylaw 3489 be amended to include the following non-resident board
members: Eberhard VanRiesen, John Stanbridge, and Ron Charters, for a term of three
years.
2. THAT all members appointed hereby shall hold office at the pleasure of
Council, and the provisions of The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, RSO. 1990,
Chapter M.50 and amendments thereto shall apply.
3. THAT the term of service of a member appointed to this Board shall be limited
to not more than six consecutive years, except when the effect of this clause would
result in a change of two-thirds or more of the members in any one year.
