3574 To designate the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mauseoleum as a Heritage Site.THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF TILLSONBURG BY-LAW NUMBER 3574 A BY-LAW to designate the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mauseoleum as a Heritage Site. WHEREAS Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990 as amended provides that bylaws maybe passed by Council to designate a property within the municipality to be of cultural heritage value or interest: AND WHEREAS the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mausoleum is located in the Town of Tillsonburg and has been reviewed and determined by the Tillsonburg Architectural Conservation Advisory committee as being eligible for designation under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. AND WHEREAS Notice of Intention to pass a Designation by-law was given in accordance with Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, as affirmed in Schedule A to this bylaw. AND WHEREAS the Town of Tillsonburg is the property owner. AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg deems it expedient to designate the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mausoleum as a property of heritage value and interest under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Tillsonburg enacts as follows: 1. THAT the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mausoleum is a property of significant cultural and heritage value and interest. 2. THAT the reasons for designation are hereby included within the Notice of Intention to pass a designation By-law and are attached hereto in Schedule " B", and that the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to designate the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mausoleum as a heritage site on behalf of the Town of Tillsonburg. 3. THAT the Clerk shall cause a copy of this By-law together with its Schedules to be registered against the property in the Land Registrars Office and shall serve a copy of the By-law together with its Schedules upon the property owner and the Ontario Heritage Trust. 4. THAT the by-law shall take force and effect upon final passage hereof. Notice of Intention was published in the October 26,2011 edition of the Tillsonburg News; and 2. Notice of Intention was published on the Town Website from October 15th until November 26th. 3. Town Council passed the heritage designation of this site in principle at the Open Session meeting of October 11,2011. Darrell Eddiifgton COMMISSIONED <AiO A v ITS ACT RSXX 1990 C; i, : :^c 1(2) TOWN Or "iuSON&.iflG Schedule B THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF TILLSONBURG NOTICE OF INTENT TO PASS A BY-LAW Please take notice that Town Council intends to pass a by-law to designate the Forshee-Tribe-Trumpour Mausoleum, located within the Tillsonburg Cemetery, as a heritage site within the Town of Tillsonburg, on the recommendation of the Tillsonburg Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (TACAC). The Forshee Tribe Trumpour mausoleum was constructed by the London Marble Granite Co., and is constructed by large granite stones stacked three high. The base is made of granite and the roof is a granite slab with a granite peak to shed water. Also, there are two copper doors accompanied by two pillars. The Mausoleum is very well constructed and is of architectural significance to the Town.
