MINUTES
6. General Business & Reports
6.1. Financial- No report
6.2. Tour Guides- nothing to report
6.3. Curator’s Report- The Curator’s report was circulated and included the following
highlights:
1. An increase in September numbers over last year
2. Approx. 25 cars participated in the car show Sept. 25. Over 100 visitors to the
house. $262.00 in donations collected.
3. Christmas decorating begins Nov. 2 to be completed by Nov. 21.
4. Stockings are available for stuffing for the annual penny sale. Stuffed stockings due
Nov. 21 with sales to start Nov. 25.
5. School programming begins Dec.1. and runs through Dec. 21 with 3 programs a
day.
6. 5 motor coach bookings and 2 group tour bookings to date starting the end of
November.
7. Museum will be open extended hours for the annual Christmas Open House.
8. Curator is a member of the Canada 150 town committee.
9. Tickets for concerts during Christmasfest are available. There will be no turkey
dinner at St. Paul’s this year. Tree lighting at the library Dec. 2.
10. Plans for 2017 Oxford Remembers are set. New brochure available soon.
11. Work on third floor ceiling has been completed. Tillson Ave porch deck painted,
eaves troughs cleaned.
12. Up-coming event- Book launch of Elaine Couglar’s new book, “The Loyalist Legacy”
Sunday Nov. 6 at 2:00 pm.

thank them for their excellent work in maintaining the flower beds at Annandale House.
