On motion made by John Smith, seconded by Chris Rosehart, and carried, the Agenda was approved. 5 Approval of Previous Minutes The Minutes of a meeting of the Board held on January 20, 2016 were presented to the Board for approval. On motion made by John Smith, seconded by Dave Palmer and carried the Minutes of the meeting held on January 20, 2016 were approved. 6 Issues Arising from previous minutes None 7 Presentations / Delegations None 8 Correspondence None 9 Financial None 2 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 10 Detachment Commander Reports OPP contract Policing - Tillsonburg Inspector, Tim Clark presented the January 2016 contract statistics and memorandum which reported: • 116 provincial offences tickets written • 93.5 hours of Foot Patrol Members of the OPP attended 482 calls for service with a 89.3% clearance rate. OPP contract Policing - Tillsonburg Inspector, Tim Clark presented the February 2016 contract statistics and memorandum which reported: • 54 provincial offences tickets written • 95.5 hours of Foot Patrol Members of the OPP attended 403 calls for service with an 84.9% clearance rate. Various topics Bullying, social media Reactive Duties • 12 calls for service including fingerprinting Civilians’ and completing OSOR registrants • Assisted front line staff with a missing youth and assult in SWOX • Warned youth for trespassing at Town Centre Mall • Charged 2 youth with Trespassing at Glendale • Assisted in locating possible marihuana (none found) as well as a racoon on school property Meetings/Presentations: • Crime Stoppers Meeting in Woodstock 11 Committee Reports None 12 OAPSB  May Conference L. Scanlan will be attending the conference. Unsure if any other members will be attending at this time 13 Other Business / Public Discussion  Animal By-Law Enforcement Inspector Clark and Larry Scanlan talked to Geno Vanhaelewyn. 152 calls received  Speed Spy Purchase On MOTION made by John Smith, SECONDED by David Palmer and carried it was RESOLVED that the TPSB purchase a Speed Spy with a purchase price of $3531.61  Diamond Ring On MOTION made by John Smith, SECONDED by David Palmer and carried it was RESOLVED that the TPSB give found Diamond Ring to the TDMH Volunteer Association  Fortification By-Law – This By-Law is currently at the Lawyers office  Project Lifesaver – Update – currently 3 people are using the service with a possible fourth  Winter Parking – there are designated areas that are exempt from the winter parking by-law 7 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 13 con’d  Donation On MOTION made by John Smith, SECONDED by David Palmer and carried it was RESOLVED that the TPSB donate $250.00 to the Jodi Bala fund  Inspector Clark to Region – Inspector Clark will be at Regional Headquarters for the next few months 14 Date of Next Meeting Wednesday, April 20, 2016 15 Adjournment On motion made by Dave Palmer, seconded by Chris Rosehart and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:29 a.m. __________________________________ __________________________________ Larry Scanlan, Chair Becky Turrill, Secretary
