Inspector Hymers presented the May 2016 contract statistics and memorandum which reported members of the OPP attended 516 calls for service with an 85.1% clearance rate. In comparison

Members of the OPP attended 685 calls for service with an
88.2% clearance rate in 2015. The most serious of these calls were 3 break & enter and 5 random acts of mischief.

Inspector Hymers presented the High School Resource Officer Month End Report for May 2016
Proactive Duties
• Patrolled interior, exterior, when time allowed
• Foot Patrol Downtown Tillsonburg and Norwich.
• Engaged in conversations with parents, youth and staff
regarding youth issues, seeking advice on various topics
of bullying, social media issues, family and friend
problems and legal questions.
• Attended Western Region Headquarters for Road to
Mental Readiness training
Reactive Duties
• 2 calls for service for Glendale, Fail to Comply and Child
Pornography; No charges, only warnings with
parental involvement
• 1 call for service at Annandale; Unfounded sexual
assault that did not occur at the school
• Investigated 3 calls for service for the town of
Tillsonburg
• Assisted Norwich officers with animal complaint in
Otterville
• The remaining 16 calls for service involved Crime
Stoppers management
