On motion made by Chris Rosehart, seconded by Ann Loker, and carried, the Agenda was approved. 5 Approval of Previous Minutes The Minutes of a meeting of the Board held on August 17, 2016 were presented to the Board for approval. Scanlan – Prisoner Escort Cheques Detachment Commander Reports  OPP contract Policing - Tillsonburg S/S Fashing presented the August 2016 contract statistics and memorandum which reported members of the OPP attended 453 calls for service with an 86.6% clearance rate. In comparison None None None 2 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 10con’t Members of the OPP attended 638 calls for service with an 88.1% clearance rate in 2015. The most serious of these calls were 3 break & enter and 4 random acts of mischief. Foot Patrol Hours: • 97.5  S/S Fashing presented the Tickets Written in Tillsonburg for the months of August 2016 report: • Speeding, 18 • Fail to Stop, 3 • Plate/Permit/Insurance, 30 • Trespass/Intox in Public, 6 • Careless, 3 • Seatbelt, 6 • Hand Held Device, 4 • Fail to Yield / Improper turn, 8 • Other, 4 • Total for May, 82  S/S Fashing presented the High School Resource Officer Month End Report for August 2016 Proactive Duties • Foot patrol downtown Tillsonburg & Norwich • Focused patrol in South-West Oxford and Norwich Township Reactive Duties • 10 Calls for service • Investigated 4 calls for service in the Town of Tillsonburg • Remaining calls for service were for other townships 3 in Norwich, B,E&T in SWOX and By-law incident in EZT – public making enquiries • Remaining calls for service were Crime Stoppers • 5 tickets issued including 3 parking tickets for the Town of Tillsonburg • Completed assigned Auxiliary Background Investigation • OSOR registration completed for August as well as resident checks  S/S Fashing Presented CDAT & Street team report for August 2016  S/S Fashing Presented the August 2016 Community Service Report 3 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 10con’t Presentations / Meetings: • Staff meeting held at Glendale High School  S/S Fashing presented the Drug Enforcement Unit Statistics for May 2016.  Crime Stoppers of Oxford Inc. Applicants have been short listed to one. Commander to start the first week of November  Sidewalk safety/Westfield No Parking Signs – Town of Tillsonburg to review Quarter Line in 2017 - Sidewalk safety – draft for paper to include by-laws regarding bikes etc.  High School Bursary recipient – Michael Ram  OAPSB Rewrite Survey – unable to print survey. L. Scanlan will send the survey to members  Shared court security funding model – WPS provide security. Now asking for assistance OPP & Fire Parking Lot – by-law needs to be in place in order for signs to be put up Oxford Situation Table “Report Back” – October 6 RSVP L. Scanlan if you would like to attend  Crime Stoppers Gala – October 26 B. Turrill to purchase 2 tickets to the Gala  Zone 4 Meeting – October 28 – Niagara Falls B.
