On motion made by Councilor Rosehart, seconded by Ann Locker, and carried, the Agenda was approved. 5 Approval of Previous Minutes The Minutes of a meeting of the Board held on May 17, 2017 were presented to the Board for approval. On motion made by Mayor Molnar, seconded by Ann Loker and carried the Minutes of the meeting held on May 17, 2017 were approved. 6 Issues Arising from previous minutes None 7 Presentations / Delegations None 8 Correspondence None 9 Financial Quarterly report from Corporate 2 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 10 Detachment Commander Reports  OPP contract Policing - Tillsonburg Inspector Hymers presented the May 2017 contract statistics and memorandum which reported: • 84 provincial offences tickets written • 118.25 hours of Foot Patrol Members of the OPP attended 715 calls for service with a 91.1% clearance rate.  Inspector Hymers presented the Tickets Written in Tillsonburg for the months of April 2017 report: • Speeding, 22 • Fail to Stop, 11 • Plate/Permit/Insurance, 25 • Trespass/Intox in Public, 6 • Careless, 1 • Seatbelt, 0 • Hand Held Device, 2 • Fail to Yield / Improper turn, 11 • Other, 6 Total for May 2017, 84  Inspector Hymers presented the Drug Enforcement Unit Statistics for May2017.  Inspector Hymers presented the OPP Auxiliary Monthly Unit Summary for May 2017 • Total Hours within Tillsonburg 123.25  Crime Stoppers of Oxford Inc. Report Inspector Hymers presented the report for Oxford Crime Stoppers for May 2017. Monthly Tip Statistics for May 2017 Total Calls Received, 29 Woodstock PS Tips , 11 OPP Tips, 10 Assigned out to other Crime Stoppers Programs , 8 Meetings/Events Attended in May Media Relations • Crime Stoppers Monthly meeting – May 9, 2017 3 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 10 cont’d Fundraising • Golf Tournament Postponed – New date to be set Promotions • IDCI Art class poster contest – May 2017 Upcoming Events • Woodstock Relay – request use of tent – June 9 • 2017Annual training, conference and AGM June8-11 • Ingersoll Relay - request use of tent & popcorn machine June 16  Haldimand Norfolk Crime Stoppers: Monthly report distributed for Board information (May)  Inspector Hymers presented the High School Resource Officer Month End Report for April 2017 Proactive Duties • Patrolled interior, exterior, gullies and parks surrounding Glendale High School • Engaged in conversation with parents, youth and staff regarding youth issues. Reactive Duties • 8 Calls for service at Glendale • Assisted Frontline officers with 2 MVC, trouble with youth involved 18 yr old & Glendale student and a Landlord Tenant Act • 1 trouble with youth at Glendale – kids on the roadway. Researching other municipal by-laws regarding interfering with traffic and blocking other pedestrians on sidewalks • Attended court for By-law trial Presentations / Meetings: • Crime Stoppers meeting in Woodstock • Participated in wellness fair at Glendale – Internet Safety • Participated in KISS campaign at Glendale – Oxford Injury Prevention Team • Met with Art teacher at IDCI regarding Crime Stoppers poster contest • Attended with Glendale on New York field trip in Ridgetown 11 Committee Reports None 12 OAPSB 4 AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION OUTCOME/ACTION 13  Shed- Has arrived and is in place in the parking lot  Zone 4 Meeting – All Tillsonburg board members attended  Oxford Chairs Meeting – Good meeting. Commander Review  Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament – September 14 (new date)  CPP 1000 Officer Grant – application has been sent in Ride Grant need signature and insurance  Marijuana Dispensaries – nothing to update Inspector Hymers, Larry & Geno to meet to discuss  Court Security Committee Municipality needs to appoint a person to this committee Board Photo Frame given to Colleen  Traffic Island – the tree has been tagged L. Scanlan to talk to Corey Hill  Emergency Shelter – Letter sent to the CAO regarding the location of the generator On MOTION made by Larry Scanlan, SECONDED by Ann Loker and carried it was RESOLVED that the TPSB endures that a generator be at the Tillsonburg Community Centre full time while designated an Emergency Shelter  Fridge Magnets On MOTION made by Mayor Molnar, SECONDED by Greg Horvath and carried it was RESOLVED that the TPSB spend up to $300.00 for OPP fridge magnets used by Community Service Officer  Parking On MOTION made by Greg Horvath, SECONDED by Ann Loker and carried it was RESOLVED that the TPSB support in principal the recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Committee regarding the parking at the Community Centre 14 Date of Next Meeting Wednesday, August 16, 2017 15 Adjournment On motion made by Greg Horvath, seconded by Councilor Rosehart and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 a.m. _______________________________ __________________________________ Larry Scanlan, Chair Becky Turrill, Secretary
