Carried 5. Delegations and Presentations Pat Carroll – Potential Sea Scout Storage Container Project, Kinsmen Club: the Sea Scouts have been trying to find storage, currently their equipment is being stored at various locations away from the lake. Proposing to put a storage container next to the Summer Place/Rowing Club, close to the dock. Advantages: - Rowing Club will be able to use it as well - Safe and convenient access to the lake - Indoor storage and security for equipment - Improve the longevity of equipment - Promote Sea Scouts program - High visibility - Resolve storage issues - Leave Gibson House for town/other use There is also a barge which is old and will be replaced along with the trailer. These are insured by Sea Scouts and will be stored at another location. The club would repaint the Summer Place building to match the outside of the container once painted. There will be no cost to the town and no anticipated maintenance costs. Does not foresee any issues with Building Department approval for the container. The cost of this to the club will be around $10,000, container will be donated. The project implementation would take 3 days, followed by painting and landscaping, the current Butterfly Garden incorporated. This would also commemorate the Past President and Honorary Chairman Tom Logan for his 25 year involvement with Sea Scouts. Completion anticipated by end of July.
