Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Amelia Jaggard, Legislative Services Coordinator: Introductions 2. Adoption of Agenda Resolution #1 Moved by: Mel Getty Seconded by: Terry Smith THAT the Agenda as prepared for the Memorial Park Revitalization Advisory Committee meeting of March 20, 2019, be adopted. Carried 3. Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest and the General Nature Thereof There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest declared. 4. Presentations/Deputations - None 5. General Business & Reports 5.1. Orientation – Amelia Jaggard, Legislative Services Coordinator: review of committee roles and responsibilities. 5.2. Election of Chair: nominated by Mike Cerna, seconded by Terry Smith: Mel Getty - Carried Vice Chair: nominated by Chris Rosehart, seconded by Kim Sage: Kim sage; nominated by Mel Getty seconded by Terry Smith: Mike Cerna Moved by: Terry Smith Seconded by: Eugene Todd Resolution #2 Committee: Memorial Park Revitalization Advisory Committee Page - 2 - of 2 Date: March 20, 2019 THAT the nomination of the Vice Chair be deferred to the next meeting. Carried 5.3. Meeting location, dates & time: Community Centre –Lions Den, 3rd Wednesday of every month, except July and August, at 5:30pm 5.4. Terms of Reference: distributed for review, Staff will provide electronic copy of Memorial Park Master Plan and checklist to members via email. 5.5. Set Goals: postpone to next committee meeting; outstanding goal from last committee term was determining of parking around the Memorial Park; Staff will provide a memo with summary of capital projects and capital planning to inform the committee; provide updated master plan map – current state. 5.6. Summary of previous committee initiatives: pumptrack, Lion’s Grove, dog park, outdoor pad, bandshell and celebration plaza, Rotary Club/tennis court area improvements. 5.7. Memo from council requesting input: Joan and Sharon put together a grant for the dock which Trillium funded; provide letter to council from Rowing Club; Resolution #3 Moved by: Eugene Todd Seconded by: Terry Smith THAT the Rowing Club representative(s) make a presentation to the Memorial Park Revitalization Advisory Committee regarding the present and the future of the Tillsonburg Rowing Club at the next committee meeting on April 17th. Carried. 6. Correspondence - None 7. Other Business: Additional information regarding costs, estimates and other information that was provided to council by staff, which can assist the committee as a reference, will be sent out to the committee members. Staff request agenda item for next meeting to discuss the configuration of the Hardball Diamond #1. Sports & Recreation Advisory Committee will be working on updating and revising the Recreation Master Plan which was last updated in 2011. 8. Next Meeting: Wednesday, April 17 at 5:30pm, Lion’s Den, Community Centre 9.
