MINUTES OF BOARD OF MANAGEMENT
PRESENT: Bryan McBride, Brenda Carroll, Dave Morris, Mike
Sullivan, Matt Scholtz, John Arts, Kim Miggens, Barbara
Morgan, Eugene Heath, Camille Vogelzang, Andrea Rooke (The
Independent), Craig Manley, Sr. Planner for Oxford and his
assistant, Ken Vanosshe.
Craig Manley did an in depth presentation on the Official Plan
that will affect this area's growth for the next 20 years. What
they need from the B.I.A. are comprehensive goals and plans for
the future.
The meeting was brought to order at 1:05 p.m.

The Treasurer's report was read and explained. Brenda moved to
accept Treasurer's Report. Sec. by Mike. CARRIED.

Gene moved we pay the bus driver. Sec. Kim. CARRIED.
Barbara Morgan has submitted her name to the Board. Mr. Borowiz
has also applied to the Board.
Gene moved that the BIA increase its membership to 10 plus the
representative to Town Council. Sec. by Mike. CARRIED.
Gene moved that the BIA withdraw its objection to the zoning
amendment for the Northgate Plaza. Sec. Matt. CARRIED.
Brenda moved that Bryan McBride be appointed BIA representative
on the Zoning Committee. Sec. Matt. CARRIED.
Matt Scholtz volunteered to stand on Traffic Committee.
Kim Miggens was coaxed into handling the Beautification
Committee.
Barbara Morgan will be the new Promotions Chairperson so that
Brent can have more time with his ailing parents.
Bryan mentioned a book, called: 1992 Ontario Budget Guide Book
and a letter from Kimbel Sutherland, asking us to give them ideas
for the next Ontario Budget.
Dave Morris brought a proposal forth for an 84-unit apartment
building at Queen & Concession Streets. Discussion ensued and

Gene moved that we approve & endorse the proposal. Sec. Mike.
CARRIED.
Brenda mentioned that the Air Show needs $15000.00 in interest-
free loans and a $5000.00 grant for marketing from the town.
Gene moved we write a letter to voice our objections to the
tobacco excise tax. Sec. Brenda. CARRIED.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
