MINUTES
MINUTES of the meeting of the Experience Tillsonburg Committee
held April 2nd, 1992 at 9:30 A.M. in Council Chambers.
PRESENT: A. Horvath, B. Carroll, P. King, B. Arts, W. Kleer,
A. Skevington, G. Found, S. Sever, F. Brown, J.
Armstrong
1. Food Fair
Response has been obtained to date from Little Ceasar's,
Christopher's, Country Fair and Corey's restaurants.
F. Brown is to forward a list of Tillsonburg restaurants
to Mr. King so that he can contact them individually
and report back at the next meeting.
2. Tillsonburg International Airshow
G. Found reported that the airshow dates would be August
29th and 30th. The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association
will be hosting their trainer weekend on August 27th
and 28th.
3. Events
The Lion's Club are not sponsoring the Soap Box Derby
this year. J. Armstrong will check to see if another
group can pick this event up.
The Lion's will be hosting a Monster Bingo on August
23rd. The museum events will be integrated with Experience
Tillsonburg.
The Mall is hosting Caribbean Days again .

4. Media
B. Carroll declared a conflict of interest in this matter.
The media have met and decided to each sell their own
ads. The media requested that the money from the Chamber
of Commerce, B.I.A., Town and Sifton's be used for generic
pre-promotional advertising. The closing of part of
Broadway was discussed again. The B.I.A. will be asked
for input.
Possible Events on Broadway:
-battle of the bands -sidewalk sales
-kid's rides -food fair
-clowns -antique car show
-art show -wandering minstrels
-face painting
5. Other
The card show will probably be held August 25th, 1992.
J. Armstrong will contact Adrianna Lawless re: possible
senior's participation.
G. Found will contact the youth theatre group.
