MINUTES
MINUTES of the meeting held July 24th, 1992 at 9:30 A.M. in
Council Chambers.
PRESENT: J. Ladoucier {Food Bank), G. Found, F. Brown,
W. Chamberlain, B. Moody, H. Keenliside, W. Kleer
G. Found chaired the meeting.
1. Kinsmen Participation
The Kinsmen are still working on security for the
Karaoke and Dance.
A Honkytonk player was located. The committee felt
that due to cost and time constraints, it could not
be fitted in this year.
2. Labatt's Beer Blimp
Labatt's will not provide the blimp to
since the Kinsmen are buying the beer.

3. Rotary Club Participation

G. Oliver was not present. F. Brown to follow-up
with him. The committee suggested that the Rotary
Club might want to take on organizing the Tug 'O War,

4. Classic Car Show

5. Mert Mcclintock
He has 2 units -carousel and stage coach available
Friday, and 1 unit -a surrey available on Saturday.
Cost is $300.00 per unit. Due to our budget constraints
it was suggested that if he charged for rides, perhaps
he would not charge us a fee. This is to be investi-

6. Additional Displays Confirmed

CHAA -table top display
Food Bank -will have a booth display as well as an
open house on Friday and Saturday.
7. Big Band Concert
The concert is confirmed. It was suggested that a
cash donation or food donation as admission would be
appropriate. The Food Bank will organize bins and
staff for this event. The committee felt that an
MC was not necessary to introduce the band. F. Brown
to discuss with B. Sherry.
8. Layout
To be deferred until number of cars is confirmed for
car show.
9. Budget
The budget was reviewed and will be updated as required.
10. List of Events
A list of events on Broadway will be provided to the
downtown merchants. The media need a final list of all
events by August 11th. A revised list will be sent out
with the minutes.
