MINUTES
MINUTES of the meeting of March 7, 1991.
PRESENT: B. McKay, S. Harris, J. Mccurdy, J. Armstrong, w. Kleer,
D. Wilson, J. Whitmore, B. Carroll, F. Brown.
1. Minutes
The minutes of the last meeting were reviewed.
S. Harris is working on the tent, liquor license,
etc. It was suggested that pony rides would be
a good idea. C. Coyle is interested in putting
together a card show. The President of the soap
box derby association is interested in organizing
a derby. Jack will follow up with Chief Harley.
2. Community Centre
A number of ideas were suggested such as:
-Open house in main building
-Carribbean dance (to be run by service clubs)
-Mini-triatholon (run by Community Centre)
-Sports equipment and clothing display
3. Budget
The media are to get together and bring back details
of costs, dates, format, etc., to next meeting.
Extra costs for other events should be identified
for next meeting.
4. Involvement of Other Groups
s. Harris to approach service clubs re: hosting
particular events.
A letter is to be sent to all other groups asking
for participation.
5. Date of Next Meeting
April 4th, 1991 at 9:30 in Council Chambers.
