MEMBERS PRESENT: Charles Baldwin, Kelly Batt, Paul DeCloet, Robert Marsden, Marian Smith, Maurice Verhoeve and special guest John Kirkland (Chair of Tillsonburg SIA). MEMBERS ABSENT/REGRETS: John Armstrong, Sandra Bray, Reg Butcher, Judy Biro, Sue Saelens, Brian Stephenson. + ,, (J , DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST OR THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF: None declared ADOPTION OF AGENDA: • Resolved That the agenda as prepared for this meeting of February 6, 2014 be adopted. Moved by Paul DeCloet, seconded by Charles Baldwin. Carried. PRESENTATION: John: Kirkland spoke to the meeting about the proposed fagade improvements for the BIA area in Downtown Tillsonburg. This program subsidizes the landlords/tenants for approved renovations to the store fronts. An urban designer has been retained for consulting.. There have been 15 actual applications for up to $10,000 per +fagade on a 50/50 basis. John presented a number of proposed improvements drawings and it is obvious that the future look of the downtown � will be immensely improved. John gas a details and informative description of the program and was thanked for his time. MINUTES & BUSINESS ARISING OUT OF THE MINUTES: 1. Tree By-law: Paul DeCloet and Charles Baldwin have offered to review this document and recommend any changes for updating to the April meeting. 2. Rolph Street Designation: a possible purchase by the Town for offices will put this project on hold until more details are known. 3. Keep Tillsonburg Beautiful update: a meeting to begin planning will be called i March. 4. Scattering Gardens: Maurice Verhoeve read a report he prepared after talking to Woodland Gardens cemetery. The Gardens represent each one of four seasons with appropriate foliage. Maurice described different methods of scattering and ideal sites. Resolved that a scattering garden be developed within Tillsonburg Cemetery. Moved by Maurice Verhoeve, seconded by Paul DeCloet. Carried. 5, CN Tree Grant: Council has endorsed and an application has been submitted for $10,000. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Change of meeting time. Resolved that the meeting time be moved to the 1 t Thursday of each month at 9:00am. Charles Baldwin is investigating the identification and marking of trees within town and the trails. 2. Maurice inquired about the cemetery sign. 3.
