1. FI 2011-002 Council Remuneration Q
Presented By: Director of Finance
Opportunity was given for questions and comments.
Discussion was held and resolutions were passed, providing direction for further action.
Staff to provide a report on options for per diems for council attending meetings outside of regular
council meetings.
Request from Council that the resolution be split and that the By -Law will have to be split
accordingly.

the February 14, 2011 Council meeting that effective January 1, 2011, Council annual
remuneration, allocated between 113 municipal allowance and 213 regular pay, be for the Mayor: $
30,821. plus the cost of health benefits.

the February 14, 2011 Council meeting that effective January 1, 2011, Council annual

Mayor: $15,268. plus the cost of health benefits.

Opportunity was given for questions and comments.
Discussion took place regarding the Asset Management Plan and Council request that they
receive a copy of this plan in future years in order to prepare for budget deliberations.
Staff to provide the number of part time positions that will be affected by the reduction of non
permanent part-time labour.
Discussion was held and the following resolution was passed, providing direction for further
action.

Moved by: Councillor Klein
Seconded by: Deputy Mayor Renaud AND RESOLVE THAT Council receive the 2011 draft
budget strategies as presented,
AND FURTHER THAT Council endorse the 1 % cost of living and the 2011 grid movement,
AND FURTHER THAT the shareholder communicate with THI regarding discussions to leverage
the THI asset for our community;
AND FURTHER THAT the anticipated increase of the PSU grant by $50,000 and that 25% be
applied to reserves;
AND FURTHER THAT the construction of Quarter Town Line Rd, from Esseltine Road to Baldwin
Street be brought back to Council for Net Debt Value.
