"Carried" PRESENTATIONS Presented By: Councillor Getty Town of Tillsonburg Donation to the Food Bank Joan Clarkson was in attendance to accept the donation on behalf of the Food Bank. DELEGATIONS 1. Setting the Tone for Oxford's Hidden Tourism Draws in the Digital World Q Presented By: Cathy Bingham, Tourism Specialist, County of Oxford Presentation of three promotional videos, can be viewed at www.tourismoxford.ca To be deferred to the March 28, 2011 Council meeting. PUBLIC MEETINGS 2. Committee of Adjustment Appllcation A-02/11 -1 Clearvlew Dr/ 3500 Highway #3 Q Presented By: County Planner Mr. Gordon Hough, Corporate Manager of Community & Strategic Planning, County of Oxford, appeared before Council and commented with respect to the attached application and County Report. Opportunity was given for comments and questions. The Applicant, Bob Parker, Project Manager, Siemens, was in attendance and was available to answer questions. He spoke on the importance of the exit onto highway #3 and the reason for that location. He spoke on safety which is Siemens number one goal. Council noted that they will support the project in any way possible and staff indicated that they are actively working with MTO and the Province to support the application moving forward. No other persons appeared in favour of or in opposition to the application. AND FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Variance No. 2 related to Width of Joint Access requesting relief from Section 5.20.1.7.2 be deferred for the following reason: The application for minor variance be deferred for up to three months to June, 2011, in order to allow the applicant to explore altemative options for access. DCS 11-03 Lease of Office Space 9 Resolution No. 11 Moved by: Councillor Klein Seconded by: Councillor Beres AND RESOLVE THAT Council receives report DCS 11-03 Lease of Office Space; and, AND FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Council approve the lease of office space in the Air Terminal Building to David Brandon, operating as the Tillsonburg Flying School, for the period of January 1 to December 31, 2011 at a price of $230 per month plus Harmonized Sales Tax (H.S.T.), subject to the terms and conditions contained in this report; AND FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a bylaw be brought forward in this regard.
