Stonebridge Community Services Presented By: Robin Taylor, Marketing and Sales Manager Diana Handsaeme, Life Care Manager Charles McNeil, Business and Career Services Ms. Robin Taylor was in attendance and gave a verbal presentation on the business and the various services that it offers. Ms. Diana Handsaeme was in attendance and gave a verbal presentation on the life care services that meet the needs of the residents of the community. Mr. Charles McNeil was in attendance and gave a verbal presentation on the business services provided. 2. Oxford Regional Labour Council - Request for Endorsement of a Plan for Retirement Security a Presented By: Broderick Carey President, Oxford Regional Labour Council Mr. Broderick Carey was in attendance and gave a brief presentation on their proposal for retirement security for Canada. Council thanked Mr. Carey for the information and requested he receive a copy of the resolution. The item will be brought before Council at the June 13th Council meeting. PRESENTATIONS 3. Revised Site Plan %L -Law and Guidelines [ 1 Presented By: County of Oxford Development Planner Mr. Jason Juhasz, Development Planner, County of Oxford, appeared before Council and reviewed the proposed Site Plan By -Law and Guidelines. Resolution No. 4 Moved by: Councillor Getty Seconded by: Councillor Rosehart AND RESOLVE THAT Council receive Report No. 2011-98 and the attached draft Site Plan Control Guidelines package as information; AND FURTHER RESOLVE THAT Staff bring forward a By -Law, after completion of the consultation process, for Council's consideration. Proposed Formal Pre -consultation By -Law 0) Presented By: County of Oxford Development Planner Mr. Jason Juhasz, Development Planner, County of Oxford, appeared before Council and reviewed the formal Pre -consultation By -Law. Resolution No. 5: Moved by: Deputy Mayor Renaud Seconded by: Councillor Klein AND RESOLVE THAT Council receive Report No. 2011-99; AND FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Staff bring forward a formal Pre -Consultation By-law for Council's consideration. The By -Law will be brought forward at the June 13th Council meeting. Staff to put new changes in italics so that the revisions can be easily noted. Resolution No. 6 Moved by: Deputy Mayor Renaud Seconded by: Councillor Klein AND RESOLVE THAT Council receive Draft By-law 3511, To Govern the Proceedings of Council and Committees, for consideration. AND FURTHER RESOLVED THAT By-law 3511 be brought forward for two readings at the next Open Session meeting of Council. "Carried" 6. Fire 2011-03 /"�1 Presented By: Bob Parsons Council request that the Agreement be reworded to reflect their concerns regarding medical related emergencies and that Council support responding to emergency rescue only. Council will invite the Fire Chief back at a later time to discuss medical response and the training of our firefighters . Resolution No. 7 Moved by: Councillor Beres Seconded by: Councillor Stephenson AND RESOLVE THAT Report Fire 2011-03 Automatic Aid Agreement be received for information purposes; AND FURTHER THAT staff be directed to bring forward a By-law. "Carried" OPERATIONS 7. To Set Schedule for Roads Tour D Presented By: Director of Operations Staff recommend that Council forward 3 or 4 dates that work for them over the next few weeks to the Director of Operations and to the CAO. DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS 8. Report DCS 20-2011. Revisions to Committee By-law D Presented By: Director of Development & Communication Services Resolution No. 8 Moved by: Councillor Beres Seconded by: Councillor Stephenson AND RESOLVE THAT Council receive Report DCS Page 3 MINUTES: Meeting for the Committee "Open Council" 20-2011 and the recommendations contained therein, AND FURTHER THAT a by-law be brought forward in this regard to repeal and replace Bylaw 3485, to define the mandate, membership, and meeting procedures for committees. "Carried" 9. Report DCS 21-2011. New Fireworks By -La w Q) Presented By: Director of Development & Communication Services Council would like to review this by-law further and would like to see more equity and fairness. Staff are trying to bring this by-law in conformity with and to compliment the zoning by-law. The public to submit all concerns and comments in writing to the Town for reference in reviewing the zoning by-law. To bring the matter back for further discussion during amendments to the zoning by-law as this by-law supersedes all by-laws. Tax Report 2011-357 Tax Adjustments under Sections 357 & 358 Q) Presented By: Director of Finance Resolution No. 11 Moved by: Councillor Klein Seconded by: Councillor Beres AND RESOLVE THAT report 2011-357 tax adjustments under Sections 357 and 358 of the Municipal Act, 2001, be received; AND FURTHER RESOLVED THAT in accordance with Sections 357 and 358 of the Municipal Act, 2001, Council hereby approves tax adjustments in the amount of $35,294.21, as detailed in Schedule "A" of report 2011-357, and directs that the amounts attributable to the various requisitioning bodies be apportioned thereto. Town of Amherstburg, Request for Support M Resolution No. 15 Moved by: Councillor Getty Seconded by: Councillor Rosehart AND RESOLVE THAT Council oppose the shipment of radioactive materials from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) to ship 16 radioactive steam generators through the Great Lakes to the St. Lawrence Seaway to Sweden. AND FURTHER THAT the resolution be forwarded to County Council for support; AND FURTHER THAT the resolution be forwarded to other municipalities in Ontario for support.
