presentation from the Director of Finance be received as information.

FTE Report - currently have 6 vacancies, 3 are leadership positions.
Council suggest that some positions may not be required to be filled.
Council suggest we require a recommendation from the Library Board on the delivery model by
the end of Q1 or 2 in 2012.
Council suggest that there may be other contributors within the community to help support Library
up dates.
Staff to meet to look at further reductions.
Staff to come back to Council on Jan 9th with a new budget proposal to reduce the levy further.

Council suggest that staff look at splitting Library Development Charges between operating and
facility.
Staff to bring back a report in this regard.
Resolution:
Moved by: Councillor Klein
Seconded by: Councillor Stephenson AND RESOLVE THAT Council Support staff in providing
operating funding on a one time basis for the Library 2011 anticipated deficit, based on the year
end results to be funded from operating reserve.

Seconded by: Councillor Klein AND RESOLVE THAT the 2011 Projected Year End Reserves be
received as information.
FURTHER RESOLVE THAT the 2011 reserve activity be approved as identified in the attached
1400 spreadsheet.

of Council for the Council Meeting of December 13, 2011, be read for a first and second time and
this constitutes the first and second reading thereof.
FURTHER RESOLVE THAT By -Law 3575 be given third and final reading and the Mayor and
Clerk be and are hereby authorized to sign the same, and place the Corporate Seal thereunto.
