MINUTES of the meeting of the Municipal Council of the Town of Tillsonburg held
Wednesday, April 215, 1999 at 1:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, Municipal Offices,
Tillsonburg, Ontario.
PRESENT: Mayor C. McKnight, Councillors: B. Carroll, S. Lamb, G. Leachman, S.
Molnar, C. Rosehart and R. Smith
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
A. Adoption of Agenda
No. 1 Moved by Mayor McKnight
Seconded by Councillor AND RESOLVED THAT Town Council approve
the Agenda for their meeting held on April 21, 1999.

B. Committee of the Whole
No. 2 Moved by Councillor Rosehart
Seconded by Councillor Molnar AND RESOLED THAT Town Council
now move into Committee of the Whole to consider reports for April 21
1999.

Councillor R. Smith assumed the Chair to discuss the 1999 Budget.
C. Closed Session
No. 3 Moved by Councillor Rosehart
Seconded by Councillor Molnar AND RESOLVED THAT Town Council
move into Executive — Closed Session to consider matters of personnel.

Town Council moved into Executive Committee — Closed Session — at
1:00 P.M. and moved back into Open Session at 1:40 P.M.

— Committee of the Whole restore the 1998 funding level for the Multi -
Service Centre to be used in the Funding Allocation — Grants 1999 Budget
in the amount of $544.00.

Council — Committee of the Whole approve (average) in the amount of
$20,000.00 as found in the Funding Allocation — Grants 1999 Budget.

Seconded by Councillor Molnar AND RESOLVED THAT Town Council
— Committee of the Whole approve the rounded amounts for both
TACAC, being $1,400, and Culture Commission, being $11,600, for
Funding Allocation —1999 Budget in the total amount of $13,000.

Seconded by Councillor Lamb AND RESOLVED THAT Town Council —
Committee of the Whole approve the purchase of a boiler at a total cost of
$41135.00, plus applicable taxes, as recommended by the Fire Chief in a
report dated April 13 , 1999.

approve the purchase from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent for Council
furniture, theatre seating and sound system in the amount of $8,000.00.

Council approve the capital expenditure as recommended by Parks,
Community Centre and Recreation Commission in a letter dated April
