"Carried" STAFF DIRECTION: The subject amending By -Law is to be brought before Council at its next regular meeting of January 27, 2003. Staff were directed to advise the owner of Godfathers Pizza, located on Tillson Avenue, to advise of the amending by-law being considered on the 27th. 3. Broadway Truck Traffic D Presented By: Mayor Horton Resolution > No. 6 Moved by Councillor Beres Seconded by Councillor Molnar AND RESOLVED THAT the report of the Mayor regarding Broadway Truck Traffic be received and the recommendation contained therein be e**N adopted. Notice of Motion RE: "Bag Tags" D Presented By: Councillor Beres NOTICE OF MOTION WHEREAS: The County of Oxford has assumed the responsibility for waste management in the Town of Tillsonburg. WHEREAS: The County of Oxford has imposed a user pay "Bag Tag" system for the residents of Tillsonburg. WHEREAS: The County of Oxford has promised a "Best Needs Study" for waste management be conducted in the near future. WHEREAS: The "Bag Tag" system has been interpreted as another form of taxation. THEREFORE be resolved, the Town of Tillsonburg subsidize the entire cost of the bag tags for the residents of Tillsonburg effective February 1, 2003 until the Best Needs Study has been completed. NOTE: This motion to be brought forward at the next regular meeting of Council... January 27, 2003. ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST 1' BY-LAWS Page 4 MINUTES: Meeting for the Committee "Open Council" ' > By -Law 3043 - Borrowing By -Law for year 2003 /fflft� R 3043.DOC Moved by Councillor Smith Seconded by Councillor Lewis AND RESOLVED THAT By -Law 3043 to authorize borrowing from time to time to meet current expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2003 be introduced and read a first and second time and be referred to Committee of the Whole for further consideration and this constitutes the first and second reading thereof. "Carried" Moved by Councillor Smith Seconded by Councillor Lewis AND RESOLVED THAT Committee do now rise and go into Committee of the Whole for the purpose of considering By -Law number 3043. "Carried" Moved by Councillor Smith Seconded by Councillor Lewis AND RESOLVED THAT Committee do now rise and report on By -Law number 3043 as passed in Committee without amendment. "Carried" Moved by Councillor Smith Seconded by Councillor Lewis AND RESOLVED THAT By -Law 3043 to authorize borrowing from time to time to meet current expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2003 be given third and final reading and the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to sign the same and place the Corporate Seal thereunto.
