"Carried" ADOPTION OF AGENDA No. 3 Moved by Councillor Patenaude Seconded by Councillor Renaud AND RESOLVED THAT the Agenda as prepared for the Council Meeting of May 10th, 2004 be adopted, as amended with the deletion of Item 11. "Carried" > PRESENTATIONS PUBLIC MEETINGS 1 Committee of Adjustment Application A-05104 (Maurice and Joan Jonckheere) [J Presented By: Director of Corporate Services The Director of Corporate Services reviewed the County of Oxford Planning Report, as attached. The applicant was not in attendance. No persons appeared in support of the application. Mr. Bruce Wilcox, 3 Robin Road, appeared with concerns. He commented that he did not have a problem with the building, other than the wood burning stove. His property being higher than the subject property, experiences smoke through his doors on occasion. Mr. Wilcox would like the applicant to use electric heat rather than wood. No other persons appeared in opposition to the application. Resolution > No. 4 Moved by Councillor Renaud Seconded by Councillor Patenaude AND RESOLVED THAT the Tillsonburg Committee of Adjustment approve application A-05/04 for 4 Owl Drive, subject to the following conditions: 1) A building permit for the existing shed shall be obtained within one year of the date of the Committee's decision; 2) That the applicant submit a copy of the revised survey to the Town, to the satisfaction of the Chief Building Official; 3) That no windows or other unprotected openings are permitted to be constructed along the northerly or easterly wall of the existing shed; 4) Any installation or operation of a wood stove be subject to inspection and review by the Town's Chief Building Official and/or the Fire Chief. "Carried" 2 Committee of Adjustment Application A-07/04 (Larry and Marjorie Ward) D Presented By: Director of Corporate Services The Director of Corporate Services reviewed the County of Oxford Planning Report, as attached. Mr. and Mrs. Ward were in attendance. No persons appeared in support of, or opposition to, the subject application. The following resolution was passed. Resolution > No. 5 Moved by Councillor Renaud Seconded by Councillor Patenaude AND RESOLVED THAT the Tillsonburg Committee of Adjustment approve application A-07/04 for 54 Allen Street, subject to the following conditions: 1) The application be amended to request relief from Section 6.2.1.1.4. Lot Coverage, to increase the required lot coverage from 30% to 33.1 %, to allow for the construction of a sunroom addition not exceeding 9.3 m2 (100 ft2), instead of the 17.84 m2 (192 ft2) originally proposed. 2) A building permit for the proposed addition shall be issued within one year of the date of the Committee's decision. 3) A revised building location survey shall be submitted for the property, to include the location of the proposed sunroom addition and existing storage shed, to the satisfaction of the Town's Chief Building Official. No other person appeared in support of, or opposition to, the subject application. The following resolution was passed. Resolution > No. 6 Moved by Councillor Stephenson Seconded by Councillor Lewis AND RESOLVED THAT the Tillsonburg Committee of Adjustment approve application A-08104 for 56 Barker Street, subject to the following conditions: 1) A building permit for the proposed addition shall be issued within one year of the date ,�■•� of the Committee's decision; 2) A revised building location survey shall be submitted for the property, to include the location of the proposed addition, to the satisfaction of the Town's Chief Building Official. Ms. Abbaskoor supported Ms. Fisher's presentation, and provided additional information and comments with respect to concerns with the use of pesticides. 5. Lawn Care Pesticides Cj Presented By: Mr. Jordan Lavin, Woodstock IPM Committee Excerpt from email of May 4th, 2004... • Mr. Jordan Lavin, representing Integrated Pest Management, appeared before Council. • He advised that the Committee was formed following a meeting with Woodstock Council. • The Committee promotes responsible use of pesticides. 11MN 7. Lawn Care Pesticides D Presented By: Mr. Shane Curtis Excerpt from email of May 4th, 2004... • Mr. Shane Curtis, representing Horticultural Solutions in Tillsonburg, as well as the Tilisonburg Golf and Country Club, appeared before Council. Mr. George Burgess commented with concerns. Mrs. Joan Mahoney commented that she could see a bann for cosmetic reasons. She further suggested that, in extreme cases, when there is infestation, a permit be obtained for application. Mr. Lehman questioned how personal use could be controlled.
